My 𝕏 account was breached at the beginning of August 2026. The attacker sent out DMs with phishing links during the hour or two they had access. Luckily, the attacker never had access to 𝕏 Money or Grok. After quickly regaining control of the account, I reset all creds & passkeys and made a pinned warning post telling my followers what happened and not to click links. 

About two weeks later, my account was suddenly suspended. The email from 𝕏 said I had been reported for "In-Authentic Behavior" which appears to be the category that includes spam/phishing. Someone likely reported the phishing DM that came from me during the breach. Mind you, no 𝕏 user has the ability to delete a DM after it's already been sent.

The Appeals process is absolute junk. The bots have refused to overturn the suspension or escalate to a human for review. So my 𝕏 account is now permanently dead. And since my 𝕏 account was tied to my separate xAI account for SuperGrok, I also can't access Grok! That's another year or more of work down the drain. I can't even get to the billing portal to cancel it, so I'll have to initiate a fraud case with my bank to stop those payments.

I'm angry, distraught, and massively disappointed. I can’t imagine ever using 𝕏 again. And I may just disappear from the Internet entirely for a while. Good luck out there. –MAJIK
